Audencia launches its Digital revolution

With the launch of its flagship project “for the digital age”, the Digital Transformation Department is bringing a new lease of life to the School. Following delivery of the Audencia Store in 2019, 2020 will mark the roll-out of the School’s new Learning Content Management System (LCMS), which will be operational for the beginning of the next academic year.

— KEY NUMBER —

The score out of 5, obtained by the Digital Transformation Department for the membership criterion, as part of a shared internal opinion survey conducted at the end of 2019. A true demonstration of the commitment of internal stakeholders to the project “for the Digital Age”. In addition to this, a score of 3.5/5 was obtained for the criterion of confidence, in relation to the successful delivery of the final project.

What have been your department’s main achievements in 2019?

2019 was a year that saw many changes. During the year, our internal teams were able to assess their digital maturity, gain additional experience and take ownership of the challenges presented by these changes. The driver behind this transformation is the launch of our strategic project “for the digital age”. Two of these projects were launched in 2019 with the Audencia Store, which provides each employee, in a format similar to the Apple or Google Store, with all the collaborative tools needed to complete his or her mission, as well as the New Generation Learning Management System (LCMS). With regard to this second project, in 2019, we completed the work related to collecting use cases and drafting the support document for the call for tenders launched on 30 January 2020.

What is the outlook for 2020?

Following this first phase, 2020 will be the year to accelerate our efforts! We are currently making every effort to ensure that we achieve this. This project requires synergy with all of the School’s main programmes: Work Environment Collaboration is led by the Human Resources Department and the Property Master Plan is run by the Financial Affairs and Operations Department. Following the official launch of the Audencia Store at the beginning of the year, additional projects will be launched this year, which will draw on the skills already available in-house. A key objective: to reassign the role of infrastructure architect and Design Authority to the IT department, so that this Transformation project, with its focus on people and uses, can be supported by a controlled and scalable digital platform. The central focus of this year’s roadmap is the delivery of our new LCMS at the end of June, so that professors can put into practice, in the Beta version, the elements that they consider to be priorities for their programmes and courses for the new academic year in 2020. In keeping with our strategic approach, we must broaden the scope of our thinking. What is a skills-based approach and what are personalised programmes? What is the Audencia Smart Campus on all sites? We need to find concrete solutions to these issues starting in 2020.

In your view, 120 years is synonymous with…

Today, our School is celebrating its 120th anniversary, a feat which demonstrates its ability to evolve and adapt, its strong reputation and its proven results. This sustainability can be explained by various exogenous and endogenous factors that have impacted on our activities. The school has developed a true corporate culture, illustrated by real values. These are not just empty words, we have established a real culture which, in practical terms, represents a considerable strength in terms of forward planning and the ability to constantly adapt, essential skills for the digital world in which we are evolving. This is reflected in our motivation and ambition, as well as a real commitment that is important and perhaps even essential when managing a Transformation project of this kind.
