Striving towards a better working environment

2020 is shaping up to be another year involving numerous projects for the Human Resources Department. At the core of the team’s cross-disciplinary activities, first and foremost, is its ongoing aim to optimise working conditions for the School’s staff members while supporting the application of best managerial practices.

— KEY NUMBER —

The number of employees across all departments who joined the School in 2019 to contribute to its development, in France and internationally.

What have been your department’s main achievements in 2019?

In addition to working on the legal and regulatory changes that govern our activities, our department’s role is also to promote the development and improvement of Audencia’s social environment. This year, we successfully concluded an open-ended Home Working Agreement for all of our teams. Specific support and training courses have also been developed and rolled out for our program assistants, in the face of this changing environment. Finally, the completion of the social audit led to the definition of the Work, Environment and Cooperation Action Plan (TEC in French). This TEC plan, a result of the work carried out and jointly approved by General Management and by the members of the Social and Economic Committee, will enable actions to be taken which promote fairer and more equitable treatment, transparency and cross-functionality. Another goal is to harmonise and share managerial best practices. We have also begun to work to place greater emphasis on the physical working environment of our employees.

What is the outlook for 2020?

There is no doubt that the WEC Plan will be shaping our activities in 2020. This Plan will involve implementing measures to bring greater clarity to the social environment, therefore ensuring that the services offered by HR are more accessible to all employees. It is also our goal to improve our activities aimed at the management community in order to strengthen the pool of skills and resources available to Audencia’s managers. The objective is also to promote the value of managerial practice in all its forms. A new version of our portal for information sharing and management of our external stakeholders is also under review, with a view to building relationships and improving service quality. Finally, the HR teams will be heavily involved with the digital transformation project, not simply because of its impact on employee skills, but, more generally, because of the change management support required.

In your view, 120 years is synonymous with…

The 120th anniversary celebration is a chance for everyone, whether employees, students, graduates or partners, to acknowledge their personal contribution to the continued success of a great institution. Everyone has their part to play in this formative and collective adventure. This anniversary is also an opportunity to highlight the staying power of Audencia’s DNA and its differentiating factors, such as culture, humanism, and an openness to social and international communities. This event thus represents an additional milestone in the making of Audencia’s collective history. All this is perfectly in line with the upcoming launch of the new Strategic Plan for 2021-2025.
