The Research Department is supporting ambitious goals to ensure the continued promotion of our School. Three keywords: excellence, impact and ethics.

— KEY NUMBER —
The number of research articles published in 2019 by our academics. In addition to this, work was submitted for 15 case studies or textbooks, with contributions to 80 conferences around the world, and all this bearing in mind that the organisation was involved in more than 46 events.
What have been your department’s main achievements in 2019?
In 2019, the Faculty continued to fulfil its main mission, namely to contribute to the development of knowledge and to enhance the School’s image, in France and internationally. This year, we have also further consolidated our strategy to develop public research funding via an even more transparent and engaging support system. Finally, we have established an ad hoc ethics committee to guarantee that any research project which involves living being(s) at any time, will not have a negative impact on them. This constitutes a responsible and civic commitment that is particularly important to the School’s entire academic community.
What is the outlook for 2020?
The renewal of our accreditations is a major priority that must guide our actions in 2020. We must also make research a central focus and ensure that it is supported as such, in order to contribute to the School’s development as part of the future strategic plan for 2021-2025. To increase the visibility of our work and make it more accessible to an external audience, we are also planning to update the Research website and increase the presence and impact of Audencia Research. This digital interface should also offer the best possible support to faculty members in order to increase both the quality and quantity of published research articles. This will help strengthen our School’s position in the various rankings. Lastly, we also want to extend the remit of the ethics committee by offering a fully impartial system that will cover all aspects of ethical research conduct.
In your view, 120 years is synonymous with…
Experience, adaptability and audacity! Throughout its 120 years of existence, our School has continued to successfully evolve, and, most importantly, to stand out from the crowd in the face of educational and technological changes. Not only has Audencia managed to fully adapt to this new world, but it has also succeeded in driving change: in my opinion, this is the fundamental role of a leading business school. I believe that this is what we must continue to strive for when developing our future strategy.
